Information
On June 2000 I modified this program to have a few features I wanted:
- Do not set mixer values on startup: I use wmmixer for the volumes, including the sound inputs, so I didn't want wmrecord to interfer.
- Modified user interface: I found many of the icons confusing, so I made new designs, and also changed the position and function of the record and play buttons. By making them toggles, I could remove the stop button, and use the extra space to put a power off button. Also, the buttons are ordered from most to least dangerous. The dangerous ones, delete and record, are in the left part of the interface, while all other buttons are in the right part.

Then, on October I got tired of using other application for checking the input levels, so I made a simple clipping detector that changes the input source icon, from the normal green to red, when clipping is detected.
